1930's Art Deco Sterling Silver Sassafras Three Lobe Leaf Link Bracelet

Regular price $105.00 $0.00 Unit price per

This feminine sterling silver bracelet, with uniquely designed leaf links, bestows a special silhouette on your wrist when worn. Airy and light feeling, the openwork links frame a detailed illustration of a three lobed leaf, perhaps from a sassafras tree. The organic leaf shape is juxtaposed with the angular setting (note the special touch of corners folding inward), a classical Art Deco design motif used to a charming effect in this 1930s piece.

Condition Guide Excellent. This piece is fresh looking, it must have been tucked away and well taken care of, with soft wear that is noticeable only on close inspection.

* The silver setting has a bright patina with minor surface wear and no dents or misshapen spots.
* The spring ring clasp is likely a replacement and not original.
* There are no other irregularities to the setting or signs of solder or repair and the piece has a firm shape.

Collector Note On Figurals. Figural jewelry includes any piece that has been shaped into an animal, person, object, or detailed "day in the life" scene. Antique and vintage figural jewelry is often quite charming and collectible for the realistic or cutesy details. Specific objects or animals became popular and prolific in jewelry during certain time periods, Scotty dogs during the 1940's for example, or swallow birds during the Victorian era. Figural jewelry is special for its detail and realism but also tells the story of the decade they were made in.

On Excellent Condition. Antique and vintage pieces have been passed through generations, so it's not often you find a piece that has been maintained in its near-original condition. Such pieces are not only higher in value, but they are also more collectible, as they carry the history of past owners but do not show it. They reveal what the piece would have looked like when it was first created, giving us an insight into a bygone era.
